Week 2: Reading Diary Aesop for Children

Here are my favorite stories from Aesop for Children, illustrated by Milo Winter.

The Wolf and the Kid: In the end of this story, the story said that "Do not let anything turn you from your purpose", what a meaning word is. Never forge your beginning decision, just still do it until you reach success. I really love this story.

The Tortoise and the Ducks: I have to say that some people in the truth world who become highly conceited are easy to make troubles and have more obstacles, since they ignore some details that they didn't find in the past. This tortoise because of foolish curiosity and vanity leading to misfortune.

Two Goat: this story lets us think more and realize some influential meanings. When an argument arises, people should take a step backward and not allow a fight to take place. 

The Ass and the Load of Salt: In reference to the different situation in this story, the deep meaning in this story is to think more about different situation, don't just rely on one situation, and based on the unchanged consideration.

The Lion and the Gnat: The end of this story is hard to expect, the lion, the Gnat, and the spider. It is hard for us expect what will be happen in the future, in addition, we cannot ignore our enemies, don't belittle our enemies.

The Ass and His Driver: I really like this story since it is related to the suggestion, you would read that the foolish Ass don't want to follow the suggestion then roll to the bottom of the mountain. 

The Oxen and the Wheels: It is true that some people who do the hard things but say loudly that they are tired, as same as the truth world, some one who companion the less, the less difficult could be. 

The Gnat and the Bull: even though you have a enough heart, you could ignore some troubles, thus you could be happier.

The Wolf and the Lean Dog: expecting enough for you, take what you can get when you can get it. As all known, it is important to have a plan, but making a plan that you are able to complete is more important. 

The Eagle and the Beetle: I have to admit that don't be ignore the ability of the weakest one, why isn't that? I really love this story, I shall say that be modestly. 

Week 2: Reading Diary Aesop's Fables (Jacobs and Crane)

Here are my favorite stories from Aesop's Fables (Jacobs and Crane).

 Foxes, Part 1: In a number of stories in the world, foxes are playing a role of greedy and bad. People don't like foxes because they are tricky. My favorite story is "the fox and the grapes", the fox cannot reach the grapes, thus he said the grapes are sour. The action that the fox did what stupid is, the psychology of sour grapes also remind the readers that don't be the fox that the story told to me, we need to face our real situation and check how many capability we have.

Foxes, Part 2: To be honest, the stories from Aesop's Fables gave us lots of influentially educational meanings, which gave us the space and room to think more. My favorite story in here is " the Fox and the Goat", I have to say that the fox is smart lier to persuade the goat to jump down, then jumped on her back to survive from the deep well. In our true life, there are lots of people who are in difficulties, not all people who are in difficulties will lie others. After we read the story, we should know that never trust the advice of a bad man in difficulties.

Wolves: I really like the words "Appearances are deceptive", sometimes it is hard for us to guess what the truth under appearances. I love the story The Wolf in Sheep's Clothing.  Aesop's Fables told the exactly truth to us, we cannot to define a person only by appearance, a quiet or a peaceful appearance could hind the evil heart; however, under the ugly appearance where is a kind heart.

Dogs and Cats: oh, wow, what's a interested story is! The Dog and the Shadow, a Dog had got a piece of meat, because of his greedy, he also want to get his shadow's meat; however, his shadow lied him and he left his own meat. Sometimes we already have our meats or other things, but because of greedy, we want others, then we lose our own. People are always striving to get to a point when they would finally have enough. 

Mice: When I was child, I always reading the story "The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse" and "Belling the Cat", I want to say that these are interesting. "Belling the cat" means that lots of people are able to make a decision, but they are hard to take action. The town mouse cannot eat some delicious food, but he is living in a more peaceful life than the country mouse, people have different obstacles and they are familiar with what they experienced.

Birds, Part 1: I want to say that, " To be contented" what a extremely meaningful word is! I really love the story of  "The Peacock's Complaint", to be contented what you already have, don't be envious of others, furthermore, it isn't necessary to be envious of others, staying in peaceful in what you have and to be contended.

Birds, Part 2: I like the story "The Bat, the Birds, and the Beasts", after reading the story, I realized the importance of positioning, sometimes we should know what party we should in, and what  kind of person we are, we should have our definition and positioning, never become the bat.

Frogs and Fish: Aesop's Fables always gave us the meaningful and thought-provoking story, we should know that when touting your achievements, we should be confident but don't be exaggerate, brag or lie to others. Don't do like the old frog did in the story of The Frog and The Bull. 

Family and Friends: I have to say that what a interesting story is, Yield to all and you will soon have nothing to yield is the meaning of the story "The Man and His Two Wives", because of requirement of the man's two wises, he get the result that he became entirely bald in the end, people cannot reach two requirement simultaneously. 

People Wise and Foolish, Part 1: As we all known, the story of "The Shepherd's Boy" is familiar story for us, I have to say this is my favorite story in this part, people who always lying others, who won't trust them any more. Be a honest man, what the importance is!

Week 1: Famous Last Words

To be honest, "the favorite places" that I wrote is the best one, not because of my writing style, but my thought, I really enjoy in traveling, thus writing about my favorite places attracts me and makes me think a lot, where the places includes lots of memory for me. Broadly speaking, after everyday's writing, my writing skill has been improved, and sometimes I also enjoyed in writing. The writing style is different from each other, I want to improve my skill about grammar, spelling, and sentence structure. 

This week, I also read other's blog, and felt that they are creative about retelling the story, most of our classmates have their own opinion, and they wish find more creative and different thinking methods to make the readers attractive. I realized that some classmates they just finished the work in advance, their action made the schedule more flexible, and gives their other course more space. 

This week is the first week of this semester, but I feel very tired, since everyday I have homework to do and book to review and read. In addition, the applying work also makes me feel confused, I think it is necessary for me to make the appropriate schedule, otherwise, I could be crazy. I feel that doing the works in advance is extremely important, I really want to say that 12 credit hours are just like 18 credit hours. So we have to do our work, improve work efficiency, there must be a reasonable work plan, work plan is our key to improve job performance. Every day toward the goal, work will have more a sense of fulfillment. As a maxim that say, "find a successful way losers make excuses." I hope we can become a winner every efforts to do my own work, fun work, realize their value of life!

Week 1 Introduction: I am mine!

Hello, everyone, nice to meet you guys in this class. My major is Entrepreneurship, this semester I take three major course in Entrepreneurship, which spent me a lot of time to do homework, project and do review work everyday, but I still love my major. As for me, this semester I don't have some comps activities, I probably will take part in the Eve of nation next year, but it depends on my schedule.

I had learnt dance for about 6 years, I am not a professional dancer, but probably I'm a professional dancer among the business students. I love dancing, especially Chinese Classic dance. I love playing piano, dancing, drama; when I was a child, I always thinking I wanted to be a artiest in the future. I never realized that I would learn the business one day. Furthermore, I love traveling, my short-term plan is to travel around the Untied Sates. During the time of traveling, I have enough time to relax and enjoy in the beautiful screen and feel the beautiful environment. I also like taking photograph, which is able to record the ways that I walked.

Furthermore, I love pets, I have a chocolate Labrador, he is 2 years old. He is a smart boy, however, he just cannot control his food intake, now he is about 90 pounds. 

These couple days, I feel that I am so busy that I even don't have the time to relax and do something I really like and want. I am preparing my GMAT test this semester, actually I did one time in the beginning of August, however it was not going well. I feel pressures and I want to do again, but many credit hours and lots of homework give me obstacles that is hard for me to do, I even don't have free time for me to do the appropriate schedule to do the plan of reviewing. I believe it is the important time for me in this year, I want to change myself and do more thing than I should do. I also expect the future as I dreamed as; however, time, schedule, what the importance is!

Week 1 Storybook Favorites

One project I looked at was Shadows Of The Ishvara. The words that Brahma:Born in the Water Lotus attracts me to focus on this story, which make me consider more. In addition,  I picked this one because I am very aware of the contemporary history of India histories, I also felt this story is extremely attractive. Moreover, the topic is entirely new, I never read the stories like this Shadows told, the title did a good job let me in the introduction. Broadly speaking, the design of the page affect my reaction to the introduction, it is mysterious.

The next Storybook I looked at Peter Pan, actually it is a familiar story for me, I read this story when I was child. I have to say in the introduction, the picture that the author choose is especially attractive, there is a picture of Peter Pan's statue. Furthermore, the typeface of the handwriting is extremely different, which makes me feel a bit hard to understand, which is rough. However, because the topic of the Peter Pan and Tinkerbell, which rise the interesting in this story. In general, the design of this storybook is brilliant.

The last one I looked at was The Four Beauties of China, since I was born in China, this story is familiar for me. The author is creative that he stood on shoes of lucky cricket to tell the reader the story of the four beauties, it is the smart action and that will get more attention to be attracted. Because the Four Beauties of China lived in different dynasties, using the view of lucky cricket is really smart and is able to intrude very clear. However, the design of the storybook is beautiful, especially for the first picture; however, the picture that the author used for the Chinese ancient emperor is not realistic.

All in all, I like these three projects so much, all contents in the storybooks are different. The telling and the design of the picture placement are brilliant and attractive.

This picture is from the drama of "The Legend of Zhen Huan", this drama tells the life of empress in Qing Dynasty. The picture above is that the emperor are talking with his empresses. 

Week 1: Exploring the Un-Textbook

As far as I am concerned, it is hard for me choose couple of units to explore, but I still look up and choose some.

Week 2: I usually interested in the old fairy story, thus I would choose Apuleius's Cupid and Psyche; when it comes to the old fairy story, I always like reading  "A Cinderella Story", I am sure that almost all girls love this story and expect the beautiful life in the future.

Week 3: Aside from being undeveloped, I would like to choose Chinese Fairy Tales, I was born in China, there is no doubt that I am familiar with Chinese fairy stories, furthermore, Chinese fairy stories are fascinating to me, I would like to introduce more about Chinese stories.

Week 4: I believe that the children from the world heard the stories of the Brothers Grimm during they grow up, the classic stories, such as The Three Pigs and other famous stories attract lots of children love it. Thus I would choose English Fairy Tales I as the Week 4 reading.

Week 5: When it comes the  English Fairy Tales II, which attracts me and in my opinion, English Fairy Tales  is brilliant and which is enough interesting that will allow me to use much time to read it.

Week 6: Here is the choice for me: Japanese fairy tales (Lang), I have to say that Japanese fairy tales have an air of mystery, which always having some magical creatures such as a supernatural sparrow to construct the whole tales.

Week 7: As for me, I never read the story from American Indian Fairy Tales, thus I want to choose American Indian Fairy Tales to read. The stories are inspired by the Ojibwa and other Native American legends, I would feel difference when I read these stories.

Week 8: As for as I am concerned, I also want to read the unit of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, I known that this story was made as different kinds of movies, I really this story, the fairy land that Alice experienced also make me interested in.

Week 9: In reference to the book that I want to read, there is Alice's Looking- Glasses, I have to say that I was attracted by the novel of Alice, the interested fairy land attracts me to think more to be deeply image the screen.

Week 10: And for this unit, I will chose Europa's Fairy Book, which is the brilliant unit that includes interesting stories, such as Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Puss in Boots, Hansel and Grethel, The Valiant Little Tailor. I heard the stories from Europa's Fairy Book during the time of growing up.

Week 11: My choice for this week is definitely The Life of Buddha, the stories in this unit are from the resource of Buddha and the histories. Some of the stories are true, I am really interested.

Week 12: Definitely, I will choose the unit from Monkey King, this story is from a famous ancient author of China, I never realized that Sun Wu Kung is extremely famous out of China, I really invested in this story since I always read this novel and watched Monkey King when I was a child.

Week 13: There is no doubt that I will choose Faerie Queen - Britomart in this unit, the story tells that  a virtuous lady knight, Britomart, who is a beautiful lady and ride in the forests. This description makes me interested in.

Week 14: In the end, I would still choose the unit of Europa's Fairy Book, because in this book, there are a number of brilliant stories that attract reader to fall in and enjoy in.
